Togo

That is one of the most small states of the Western Africa (the square - 56,6  thousand sq. km). Its terrain is drawn down northward from coast of gulf of Guinea. Till 1960 - possession France. The Official language - French.

Despite small sizes of the country, its environment are diverse enough. Coast vile and maloraschlenennoe, numerous lagoons and the groves of coconut palms alternating with huge baobabs, give it an originality and picturesqueness. Sandy beaches, a congenial climate (the maximum temperature in March - 31  °C, from July till September - 21  °C, it is a little deposits - 850-1000  mm), do coast attractive to tourism. Northward from coast the low plateau with two parallel mountain chains in the central part (a climate - mount Agu, 986  is had;. The North of That is occupied by mountainous plateau. Here it is very hot, even the mid-annual temperature attains 34-35  °C. The dry season lasts five months, a season of rains - from March-April till October. In the north of That savannahs and lesosavanny alternate with groves of oil palms. The country terrain is cut by two large rivers: Oti in the north, in the south and in the east - mono (running into ocean). The Fauna is diverse: in deaf regions leopards, elephants, lions, river horses, antelopes and crocodiles were saved. For preservation of large animals on ñåâåðå  reservation Keran is created.

The Population of That (more 3,8  million persons) consists of representatives 45  ethnic groups: are most numerous eve and the agricultural people close to them, and also kabre (and close to them kotokoli, chokosi, etc.). Many of these people are famous as skilful handicraftsmen and weavers. The Largest city - the capital Lome, based in the end of XIX century at-sight the fishing village. Lome is very picturesque, rich with potherb, especially in the most luxurious inhabited and administrative quarters.
