Under the constitution of 1952 of Puerto Rico has the status of freely affiliated state to the USA with the self-management rights. The sovereign legislature belongs to the congress of the USA in which management there are questions of foreign policy, defences and assertion of laws of island. The regulation of intrinsic control is in management Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico consisting of the senate and the House of Representatives. The executive power on island belongs to the elective governor who is the commander-in-chief of the armed militia of Puerto Rico and heads the Advisory council consisting from 15  ministers. In terrain Puerto Rico are had 16  Military bases of the USA, from them the largest Roosevelt-Rouds, Santiago, Sabana-Seka, Vekes.
