the Climate of Costa Rica

the Climate of this tropical country is defined by two major factors: a height above sea level and a season. With altitude agency all is simple - the above, the more coldly. During any pair of hours from a tropical hot beach it is possible to get on a cold apex of a burning mountain (temperatures drop to 5-10  °C).

Optimum environmental conditions have developed in the Central Valley as though pressed between two poles - a cool of mauntains and relaxing heat of neritic lowlands. On a plateau the average temperature all the year is kept in the order 22  °C. It can be hot in the afternoon, but by the evening the temperature always decreases.

As to seasons, their two: rainy (the middle of May - December) and dry (December-May). In the rainy season the bright sun since morning shines, then clouds which are spilt by a rain in the afternoon and by the evening by noon are going to. Temperatures can be thus high enough, especially at the Caribbean coast where rains go the bulk of year. A Pacific shore drier.

As a whole in the country always warmly, and local residents do not know snow. In such blest climate slopes of mounts to the apexes are covered by thick woods, and along all coast coconut palms rustle with huge leaves.

A Diversity of temperature conditions allows to cultivate the most polar crops - from bananas, pineapples and a papaya to a usual onion, a potato and a strawberry.
