the Climate of China

it is natural, that a climate in different regions of such big country neodinakov. China is in limits of three climatic belts: moderated, subtropical and tropical. Especially sharply differences in air temperature are manifested in the winter. So, in January in Harbin the temperature quite often drops to-20  °C, and at this time in Guangzhou 15  °C. In the summer difference of temperatures is not so great.

Climatic contrasts can be tested to the full in a northwest part of China. Here the hot summer is replaced in the cold winter. Winter in regions to the west of a ridge Big Hingan where average temperatures of January decrease to-28 °C is most severe, and the absolute minimum temperature attains-50  °C. But in the summer here the present scorching heat, especially in intermountain hollows. The most hot place in China - the Turfansky dint (it is had northward from desert Takla Makan, in spurs of a mountain Tjan-Shanja), in July here air is heated to 50 °C, and on hot stones it is possible to grill fried eggs.

In Beijing the climate is more or less habitual for the European. Cold winds from Siberia, but air enough dry in the winter blow, and the frost is tolerated easily. Furthermore, in a snowfall pagodas and grottoes of the Summer palace are unusually picturesquely and romantically looked. Winter is replaced by short spring, and on a city sandy storms collapse. The summer in Beijing is much hotter, than, for example, in Moscow.

In Shanghai the climate is much warmer, in the winter the temperature is seldom hauled down below null, but an atmospheric humidity is constantly high (all year long 85-95 %) what to tolerate difficultly enough. In the summer here it is very hot and it is wet, as if you are in Russian bath.

Further away to the south, in Guangzhou, the subtropical monsoonal climate overtops. The summer monsoon bears huge mass of water, therefore in the summer here is stuff and is wet. In June-September there are strong rains. Quite often there are typhoons. Winter warm, and an atmospheric humidity too is rather high.

The Ideal time for trips to China - serotinal spring, especially May, or autumn, September-October, and in the south and November-December.
