Short general data on Cuba

the Supreme body of the government of Republic Cuba is the National assembly of people's power vested with the legislative rights selected on five years. The national assembly selects the Council of state from among the deputies. The executive power supreme body is the Ministerial council. The chairman of the Council of state and Ministerial council is the head of the state. In the administrative attitude Cuba is subdivided into 14 provinces which are in turn divided on 169 munitsipy, one of which - Huventud - the central submission.

The Population of Cuba compounds 10,6  million persons. At Havana bunks about 2 million persons. The population of other cities is much less. Largest of them - Santiago de Cuba, Kamaguej, Holguin, Santa Clara, Guantanamo, Sankti-Spiritus, Matansos, Bajamo. Population density - nearby 92 persons on 1  sq. km. At cities bunks nearby 71  population %. The majority of the population (2/3) - offsprings of natives of Spain, more than 1/3 - Negroes, mulattos, mongrels. The republic Cuba - an one-nation state, all population speaks in Spanish. The majority of believers - roman catholics.
