Sao Tome and Principe

Dignity-volume and Prinsipi - the island African country which has been had in gulf of Guinea in 360  km to the West from coast, it is almost exact on equator. Islands are covered by magnificent wet equatorial woods, but the fauna is rather poor: there are monkeys (gveretsy, drily, macaques), diverse auks, lizards, chameleons, snakes. But the marine fauna presented by diverse fishes, crabs, shrimps, lobsters, oysters and other molluscums is rich.

The First Europeans who have attent islands in 1470, have found their empty. The modern population (the little more 125  thousand persons) - santomejtsy - it was generated from migrants from continent. Their crop, being African on roots, bears obvious traces of the Portuguese agency. In capital and a unique large city - Dignity-volume the Portuguese fort and some other ancient buildings was saved.
