Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

the State Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is had in Caribbean sea on island Saint Vincent and on small islands Northern Grenadines (Bekija, Mjustik, Kanuan, the Union, etc.). The Population - nearby 109  thousand persons. The head of the state - the queen of the Great Britain presented by the governor-general. An official language - English.

The Main island of the state, Sent-Visent, has been open by Columbus in 1498, in day of sacred Vincent. The island has been occupied by Indians - karibami. The terrain alternately passed under the control that Frenchmen Englishmen and only in 1763 became colony of the Great Britain. From mixture of Indians and delivered for job on plantations of Negroes the significant bunch black karibov (garifov) was formed. Nowadays the population bulk is compounded by Negroes and mulattos.

Sep.Vincent - mountainous island of a vulcanic parentage. The chain of old burning mountains, being gradually downgraded, lasts from the north on the south. An island climate tropical, passatnyj. Average month temperature - 26  °C. The dry season lasts from December till April. 70 % of deposits falls out from May till November. All central part of main island is covered by wood. On Saint Vincent, as well as on other islands, there is an assemblage of beautiful fakes and the white beaches framed with palm trees. The combination of coral reefs and pellucid water is a perfect condition for skin diving. Some islands are in private possession.

The Main economic centre of the state - capital Kingstown (40  thousand inhabitants). Here there is a botanic garden based more 200  years ago. It also the important financial centre where the assemblage of the banks involved with tax privileges is had. The agriculture specialises on effecting of bananas, coconuts and arroruta (an amylaceous flour from Bermuda arrowroot rhizomes).
