Republic of Korea

the Korean People's democratic Republic (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) - the state in east Asia, occupying northern part of the Korean peninsula and an adjoining part of continent. In the north of Democratic People's Republic of Korea bounds on China and Russia, in the south - with Republic Korea; in the east it is flowed about by waters of sea of Japan, in the west - Yellow. The square - 121,2  thousand sq. km. The population - 22,6  million persons, mainly - Koreans. A state language - Korean. Capital - Pyongyang. The head of the state - the president.

Korea - the country of the most ancient, original history and rich crop. Already in a paleolith the Korean peninsula has been stocked with the person. The age of the Paleolithic parking open in a cave the Komyn-measure (nearby to Pyongyang), is defined in 400-500 thousand years.

Korea - the mountainous country. The North Korean mounts covering terrain Democratic People's Republic of Korea, consist of a number of uplands and the mountain ridges, which average altitude 1500  m (a climate - burning mountain Pektusan, 2750 . Slopes and apexes of mounts (to 2000 ) are covered mainly by coniferous forests and a larch; the overhead mountain belts occupy alpestrine and Alpine meadows.

Because of a mountainous relief and irregularity of a rainfall the great value in agriculture has acquired use of irrigational systems. The basic branches of agriculture: a rice growing, cultivation of corn, barley, soybeans; vegetable growing, gardening, a sericulture, animal husbandry, including the pascual; poultry raising.

The largest cities - capital Pyongyang (2,4 million inhabitants) and a city of central submission CHhondzhin and Kaesong.
