Natural places of interest of Tunis

a Diversity of natural landscapes in Tunis gives perfect possibility to organise travel for all tastes. Fans of picturesque landscapes, wilderness can make a trip from the north on the country south. An itinerary in length about 600  the km begins from coast of Mediterranean sea and goes through very beautiful mountain chains of the Tel-atlas covered with woods from a cork tree where bears waters Medzherda. This largest river of the country (460  the km) is the longest Tunisian vadi. In its valley there are picturesque canyons.

Northern mountain forests of Tunis - present paradise for fans of hunting for wild boars. However, hunting is authorised only in the presence of the licence strictly on certain seasons. On the south from the Tel-atlas the hilly plains covered high (to metre, and even in human growth) by a grass an alpha are stretched. For the Tunisian steppe the giant dints which have been filled in with solonetzic water, - Big SHotty are characteristic. Among an alpha rare arbours - alepskaja a pine, an oak, a Phoenician juniper are scattered.

Dry steppes to the south from Big SHottov pass in slightly vsholmlennuju plain - Hamadu. It also is the south of Tunis, or the Tunisian part of Sahara. Desert here is called the Rmel-ale-abiod. A main city of this region - Tauzar, sheltered at a huge oasis.

Hamada - the vast spaces covered with stones. Is here and large rocky exits. Arabesque forms of a weathering remind that fantastic locks, persons of giants. It is possible to find a perfect souvenir in sand - the so-called stone rose-trees which have grown on naked sand. The rose-tree of desert is an alloy of a quartz and mica with a silicon admixing of which sand consists.

For desert the Mirage is usual: dark blue loch, palm trees with figured leafage and clusters of dates, a caravan of camels. Vegetation in Sahara the most poor. However, in Sahara there are also arbours-unique persons. One of them is so well-known, that has own name Tener and is marked on some maps.
