Marshall Islands

Republic Marshall Islands - the state in the western part of Pacific ocean, in Micronesia. The square - 181  sq. km; the population - 52  thousand persons. Capital - Madzhuro (on the island with the same name).

Islands have been open in 1529. In XVII-XIX centuries Spain belonged . In 1919 have been captureed by Japan , and in the Second World War - the USA . The republic has gained actual independence only in 1986.

The Terrain consists of several hundreds small coral islands, atolls and reefs. The largest - island Kwajalein. A climate on islands - tropical, passatnyj, in the south - subequatorial; deposits falls out 2000 - 4000  mm. Evergreen tropical woods and bushes are passed round.

The national economy Basis is compounded by agriculture and fishery. Cultivate a coconut palm, a breadfruit tree, kasavu, tropical fruit.
