History of Turkey

the Most ancient inhabitants have come on lands of Turkey about million years ago, and since then natural resources of Balkan peninsula constantly involved many aggressors. About four thousand ëåò  back on these lands Aryan nations hettov, created in XVII-XIV centuries B.C. powerful
the state. Then they were replaced by other Aryan people. In VI century B.C. all terrain of modern Turkey was a part of Persia, in IV century B.C. - it has appeared in the power of Alexander the Great, later - one of ellinisticheskih the centres of the East while in I century B.C. it has not been won by Rome.

After disintegration of Roman empire all Balkan peninsula has departed to Byzantium. Irruption here in XI century of our era of Turkic nomads-seldzhukov has laid foundation to extending of Islam and assertion of the new name - Turkey. In XIII century in the west of Asia Minor has settled one more Turkic nation - osmanli Turks. Gradually in XIV-XVII centuries it has managed to subdue all east Mediterranean and has based the greatest power of the Islamic world - Ottoman empire. However, the power economy lost the European level, that from the end of XVII century began to lead to its political weakening. Trying of plumes in XIX century to enrich a status of the country by reforming of all state institutes has essential suspended its disintegration and contributed in industrial growth. However a lesion in the First World War, suffered from ñòðàí  Antanty, has poured out in the strongest social crisis, become complicated war with Greece (1919-1923).

In 1923 the monarchy in Turkey was svergnuta, and the presidential republic is intoned. During almost all Second World War Turkey, despite the neutrality declared by it, assisted Germany. In a postwar period dependence of foreign policy of Turkey on imperialistic powers has gained in strength. In 1952 the country has entered the NATO block. In 1987 Turkey has officially addressed to EU with the request for method in this organisation in the capacity of the full member. Consideration of this question while is postponed.

But recently in Turkey the number of supporters more close co-operation with the USA became appreciable to predominate. Under their direct agency the circle of social freedom has extended, the economic potential of the country has grown. Today Turkey is most industrial of all Muslim countries and the most popular vacation spot of fans of history and tourism.
