History of Egypt

Settling by people of terrain of Egypt -   the most ancient state of a planet - has begun rather late - in X-VI millenary B.C. But already in V millenary B.C. the farming agriculture which has become by an economic basis of the Egyptian power, pristinely consisting of 40 cities-states here was passed round. Approximately in the middle of VI millenary B.C. from them it was formed two kingdoms, merged about 3000 years B.C. in the uniform state. In XVI-XV centuries B.C. Ancient Egypt worried unusual blossoming, possessing huge terrains from modern Turkey to Ethiopia. Wearisome constant wars with neighbours have gradually led to its decline, and then to  destruction. In VI century B.C. Egypt became easy extraction of Persia, and in IV century B.C. - Alexander the Great. After mors of the great commander the Greek dynasty of Ptolemies has affirmed as a valley of Nile. It has strengthened the country and has helped it to save independence within several centuries. In I century B.C. Rome has made Egypt the province. After disintegration of the Roman power in the end of VI century of our era Egypt was a part of Byzantium and was under its control up to VII century.

After transition of Egypt under authority of Arabs (639-642) in the country instead of Christianity Islam was passed round. The high level was attained at this time by the crop which has educed in the Arabian tongue. With disintegration Arabian halifata in IX century the country has once again found independence. But the history of irruptions and revolutions on it has not ended. Having managed to reflect invasion of crusaders in XII-XIII centuries, the power has dropped in XVI century under the impact of Turkish hordes and from the end of XIX century was a part of Ottoman empire. Since second half XIX century Egypt has gained the amplate political rights granting an autonomy. Building of Suez canal has drawn to Egypt attention of England As a result by 1882 Turkish domination was replaced by the English sovereignty. Swept on shores of Nile the struggle wave for independence has forced colonial authorities to recognise in 1922 Egypt as a sovereign state. Trying of Arabs to dilate a circle of represented freedom again has aggravated attitudes with England which during the Second World War used the Egyptian terrain as base for struggle against Germany.

Post-war national patriotic traffics have resulted in 1952 in revolution, svergnuvshemu the Proenglish regime. In some years it was possible to disengage colonial troops and in 1958 to merge Egypt and Syria in the uniform state - OAR. Deep democratic reforms have led to split of two countries (in 1961 Syria was abjointed in the independent state). In 1971 Egypt has selected for itself the new name - the Arabian Republic Egypt (ARE).
