Geography in Taiwan

the Island Taiwan is unbound from continent a strait the in width in 142  the km, the bulk of its terrain are occupied with mounts. The central mountain ridge recuts all island from the north on the south and in the climate (mount JUjshan) attains 3950  m above sea level. For cultivation of crops it is suitable only 30 % of terrain of island. A climate of Taiwan wet (on the average 2580  mm of deposits a year), in the north - subtropical, in the south - tropical, that allows to remove on two-three crops in a year. In the summer and in the autumn often there are typhoons. Average temperature of January +15  °C, July +28  °C. On island wet tropical woods grow.
