Economy in Taiwan

Taiwan is included into number of twenty most powerful economically the world countries. Its first line reserves compound 90,6 billion dollars and on this parametre Taiwan takes the second place in the world (after Japan). Taiwan saves high rates of escalating of the economic potential. Development strategy of economy are defined by official six-summer plots of national development. In a manufacturing industry radio-electronic, chemical, ship-building, textile, kozhevenno-shoe, sewing branches are most educed. Taiwan takes a leading place in world production of the computer equipment, electronic household equipment, clothes, shoe, sports yachts, camphor. In significant scales on the world market products of furniture, metallurgical, chemical effectings and exact engineering industry is delivered.

Concerning the industry the agriculture of Taiwan takes a modest place. Nevertheless on island scales of effecting of rice, grain, a sugarcane, the betel nut, cocoes, a bamboo, a sorghum, tea, tropical fruit and vegetables are significant. In animal husbandry the leading place belongs to dilution of pigs and auks. Fishery is not bad educed on Taiwan.

The Island is covered by a dense network of railways (length - 4209,1  km for 1994). The basic ports of Taiwan - Kaohsiung, Chi-lung, Taichung, Hualjan, Suao. Volumes of export and import of Taiwan exceed hundred billions dollars annually. The basic trading partners: the USA, Japan, Hong Kong.
