Bizerte

On an emblem of Bizerte the past and the city present are precisely reflected: a veselno-sailing galley, a fortress with the towers, three sea horses, an olive branch and an ear of wheat.

the Small city (nearby 70  thousand inhabitants) it is had in the north of the country, at an exit from loch Bizerte. It zhivopisnejshy the city of Tunis combining both the East and the West. It has the largest harbour on all Mediterranean sea. In the French protectorate and in the first years of independence (till 1963) the city was naval baseline of France.

Now Bizerte - the administrative and industrially-transport centre. Here it is possible to see assemblage of monuments of the past and to find the advanced comfort. In Bizerte there is an orthodox church with a memorial board on which names of Russian naval vessels which have arrived here from Novorossisk and Sevastopol in 1920 are knocked off.
