Earth Van-Dimena, the New Southern Wales, Tasmanova the Earth - such sonorous names were pirated to an unknown land by seafarers Spaniard Torres and Dutch Tasman during an epoch of Great geographical discoverings and well-known English captain James Cook in XVIII century, at all not suspecting, that before them different sections of the same continent which we name Australia (from Latin australis - southern) laid.
