SHpejer

SHpejer nowadays a small city in land Rejnland-Pfalts, port in a mouth of river SHpejer, on the left I protect Rhine.

It is one of the most ancient cities in terrain of Germany. The Celtic settlement at-sight SHpejera is based at least for 200 years BC About 1 century BC - Roman military and trading colony Noviomagus, later nemetes (by name aboriginal Celtic nation nemetov). In 5 century it is destroyed during Great movement of the people. In the Middle Ages played the important role as here there was a residence of a diocesan. The Basic place of interest of a city - a Romanesque cathedral (it is mortgaged in 1030), in which crypt of a tomb of emperors and kings. Deposit also Altportal (Old Gate) - nadvratnaja a tower 13 century, underground Jewish baths (the beginning 12  century), baroque church of the Trinity (1701-17).

The City is known for the beer, effecting of sparkling wines here is long since educed.
