Short general data on Germany

the Federal Republic Germany in its present aspect has been formed on October, 3rd, 1990 by coalescence of two German states - Germany and GDR. The capital Germany in June, 1991 had been declared Berlin (definitive transfer of capital from Bonn will require 10-12 years).

Germany - a federal state consisting from 16  lands. Each land has the constitution, parliament, the government. The head of the state - the president. All completeness of an executive power in the country belongs to the federal chancellor, all completeness of legislature - to parliament (Bundestag).

Germany - the largest country of Western Europe on a population. At it bunks 81,6  million persons. It differs the big population density (228,3 eloveka on 1  km ²) and high extent of an urbanization: 9/10 all population - townspeople. Urban agglomerations expand, and are formed whole megalopolisy. Average life span in the country is high (76 years).

population Overwhelming majority - Germans. Except them, Danes bunk.

A country State language - German. The predominating religion - Christianity, however a part of inhabitants shrives protestantizm and catholicism.
