Natural places of interest of Slovenia

Slovenia - mainly highland. In the north ridges of East Alpes - pohore, Karavanke, the Savinsky Alpes, the Julijsky Alpes with a climate of Slovenia, mount Triglav in altitude 2863  are had; m. Mount Triglav has entitled Triglavsky national park where the relict plants are saved. The country south is occupied by northern suburb of Dinarsky uplands. Here there is calcareous plateau Kras (Karst) with a karstic landform and a world famous cave the Postojnska-hole.

The Climate of Slovenia moderated, continental. The largest rivers - Sava and Drava - refer to to basin of Danube. In mounts many the glacial and karstic loches. Almost half of terrain of the country is covered by woods. Beech family and oak forests in high mountains are replaced admixed and coniferous forests, alpestrine and Alpine meadows.
