Moldova

Republic Moldova - the state in a southeast part of Europe, adjoining with Ukraine and Romania. The square - 33,7 thousand sq. km. In 1990 on a terrain part the Gagauzsky Republic and the Dnestr Moldavian Republic, not recognised as parliament of Moldova has been intoned. The population (4,36 million persons) it is presented in the core by Moldavians (65 %), Ukrainians, Russian. A state language - Moldavian. Predominant religion - orthodox Christianity. Monetary unit - pour. Capital - Kishinev (730,4 thousand inhabitants, including the settlements, subordinated a municipal administration), other large cities - Tiraspol, Beltsy, Bendery.

A country Surface - the hilly plain which has been cut by river valleys and beams. The central part - elevation Kodry (by altitude to 429  is most raised;, in the west - Toltry. The largest rivers in terrain of Moldova - Dnestr and the Rod (in the south closely to country boundary lines lower reaches of Danube approach).

The Climate moderately continental: average temperatures of January-3 - 5  °C, July - 19-22 °C. Deposits falls out nearby 400-560 mm a year.

Moldova is had in the core in steppe and forest-steppe regions. Woods - from a beech, a hornbeam, an oak, a linden - occupy about 9 % of terrain, the steppe vegetation in a natural status practically was not saved. In Moldova there is only one reservation - Kodry.
