Lithuania

The Lithuanian republic - the country in the north of the Eastern Europe, at coast of Baltic sea, adjoining with Latvia, Belarus, Poland and Russia (the Kaliningrad range). Terrain - 65,2 thousand sq. km. The population (3,798 million persons) - mainly Lithuanians (80 %), Russian and Poles. An official language - Lithuanian. The majority of believers - roman catholics. Monetary unit - lighted. Capital - Vilnius (590 thousand inhabitants). Other large cities - Kaunas, Klaipeda, Shaulyai and Panevezhis.
