the Princedom Liechtenstein - the small state (the square - 157  sq. km), had in the Central Europe, on boundary line between Austria and Switzerland, on the right I protect the rivers Rhines.

Liechtenstein has been formed in 1719 when the Austrian prince from a stem Liechtenstein has acquired lands in a valley of the Overhead Rhine and has merged them in a princedom. Since 1866 Liechtenstein formally is an independent state though actually it always was in close dependence on the neighbours - till the end of the First World War from Austro-Hungary, and then - Switzerland.

The Population of Liechtenstein compounds 30,1  thousand persons, 2/3 from them - radical lihtenshtejntsy, and the others - immigrants from Austria and Switzerland. The state language of Liechtenstein - German, however an aboriginal dialect is rather far from literary German tongue. The majority believing in Liechtenstein - roman catholics.

the Bulk of terrain of the country is occupied with spurs of a mountain of the Alpes in altitude from above 2000  the m covered oak, beechen, with spruce forests, alpestrine and Alpine meadows. In the west of Liechtenstein, in a valley of Rhine - inundated bottomland meadows, gardens and vineyards.

Capital of Liechtenstein - the city of Vaduz, other cities - Shang, Baltsers, Trizen.

A national economy Basis - tourism. Liechtenstein is the recognised centre of winter rest, in particular mountain skiing. Is in the country and balneal resorts. Other major source of currency receipts - taxes from the foreign companies registered in Liechtenstein. In connection with the lowest tax rates (all 3 % from net profit), in Liechtenstein it is registered nearby 45  thousand the companies which often do not have in the country even formal representatives.
