Erfurt
Erfurt is had on river Gera in the central Germany, capital of Thuringia. The large industrial, transport and cultural centre. Nearby 230 thousand inhabitants.
It is known about 8 century In 15 century was included into the Ganzejsky union, the union of German cities contributing in trade in the Western Europe. In 14-16 centuries was one of the major educational centres of Europe. The Erfurtsky university has been based in 1392 (it is occluded in 1816, its some buildings are saved as history and architecture monuments). In the beginning 16 century Martin Luther here studied. To this time in a city there were 40 churches and 13 monasteries. In 1802 city was a part of Prussia. After Napoleonic occupation by the solution of the Viennese congress (1814-1815) it is abandoned beyond Prussia.
By 600th anniversary of a main educational institution of Erfurt and by 1250 anniversary of a city the university has been open again. To other monuments of architecture refer to church Severikirhe (13-14 centuries), domikanskaja and franciscan churches (13-14 centuries), a trading bridge (12 century (the bridge of such phylum was saved only in Italy).
