In the end of 1995 in Dayton (USA) have been entered into nonpredatory agreements which have officially fixed separation of the country into practically independent two national-territorial educations: The musulmansko-Croatian federation with capital to Sarajevo and Republic Serbian with capital in a city the Forest fire. The central government into which representatives of both parts of the country enter, has purely nominal authority.
The Population of Bosnia and Herzegovina - 4,4 million persons, from them approximately 31 % - Serbs, 49 % - Moslems and 17 % - Croats. All of them speak in Serbo-Croatian tongue.
Almost all terrain of Bosnia and Herzegovina is occupied with mounts. Only in the north of the country, along the river of Sava, the narrow strip of lowlands lasts. The strip nizkogory and the fertile intermountain hollows passing in Dinarsky uplands in altitude to 2000-2400  to the south lasts; m. Slopes of mounts are covered dubovo-beechen, spruce and pine forests. The climate in valleys moderately continental, in mounts it becomes cool and wet. On Dinarsky uplands picturesque karstic caves are numerous.

Bosnia and Herzegovina - one of the world centres of mountain-skiing tourism. The assemblage of winter resorts is had in neighbourhoods of the city of Sarajevo where in 1984 winter Olympic plays were spent. However for years of a civil war the infrastructure of winter rest has been largely destroyed.
